DIAMOND MESSAGES | Liquid Summer
Bright early in the morning on my way to work, Diamond Messages puts me at ease whenever I hear ‘Liquid Summer’. The duo, Jason Craig and Katelyn Britton created this sound that closely reminds me to the slow and easy tracks of Ratatat. The simplicity of the instrumentals mending together created a sound that put you at ease. It’s hard to believe but this duo has broken up. According to their facebook, they had an album coming but duo to complications the band had to break up.
“It’s a sad day for Diamond Messages but we’re afraid we’re breaking up, and the Blackest Rainbow album will never come to be released. We’re really sorry for the sudden news but due to complications with the band we can’t release any more music. We hope you understand. Thanks for all the support over the years!” - Diamond Messages
‘Liquid Summer’ isn’t one of those tracks where you would expect to be critical about but this stood out on this EP. Yet the soft angelic vocals of Katelyn are just minimal, it soothes the overall sound.
